The Journey Together

You’ve probably heard the old phrase, “No man is an island”…

Well, it’s true, even though it doesn’t always feel like it.

You’ve had days when you felt like no one understood you, or at best even cared. You’ve had those moments in life where you felt invisible to everyone. You can probably even remember what it’s like to have stress weigh down on you so heavily, that you felt like you alone had the world’s problems on your back.

But, the reality is that we are not alone, or we don’t have to be. Paul (the apostle) writes that there is a unity in those who claim Jesus as their Savior and Lord*. For those who are God’s, there is a community; a place to be strengthened, a place to grow, and a place to be loved.

No, its not a perfect place, but it is a place where people, just like you, can come and be a part of something that matters, and be someone that matters. In a world that doesn’t seem to care about anyone besides the rich and powerful, the journey together seems like the best path to be on.

*For more on this, read Ephesians 4:1-6
